?Some notes from around the league;

-After signing his four-year extension with the Blues, Alex Steen had this to say, "I feel attached, it's like home now". Steen re-upped today with the Blues on a 4-year/$23MM deal.

-Rangers forward Rick Nash believes his roster spot with the team is in jeopardy this season, saying "I have to show I belong on this team".

-Stars GM Jim Nill says that Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin will both be ready for the team's season opener. Seguin injured his heel in the World Cup and Benn has been recovering from offseason core muscle surgery.

-Sharks forward Tomas Hertl says he's ready to go this year and is 100% healthy after he was out for most of the cup final last season due to suffering the effects of a hit he took early in that series.

-P.K. Subban has an upper-body injury and will be re-evaluated by the Predators this week.
