More notes from around the league;

-TSN's Daren Dreger reports that any rift between Jacob Trouba and the Winnipeg Jets over contract talks are exaggerated and the two teams are on good terms. Contract talks continue between both sides as we speak.

-Ansar Khan of Mlive.com believes that Henrik Zetterberg and Niklas Kronwall have about two more years left in them before they retire. Injuries have certainly slowed each player over the last several seasons, so it wouldn't be all that surprising to see them hang up the skates sooner rather than later.

-Being that the Devils will have to put Ryan Clowe and Marc Savard on injured reserve this season, their contracts won't count against the salary cap, therefore putting New Jersey under the cap floor once again. They will have to figure out a way to add a contract or two to the books in order to reach the floor this season.
