-The Minesota Wild reportedly have interest in Loui Eriksson if the Bruins make him available before the trade deadline. Boston is trying to work out a new contract with Eriksson but is expected to try and deal him if the two teams can't come to terms on a new deal.

The team is asking for at least a 1st round draft pick and maybe more in return for Staal. Staal is currently expected to be in the lineup for Carolina for today's game.

-Barring a trade today, defenseman Dan Hamhuis is expected to be in the lineup for the Vancouver Canucks.

-Players placed on waivers today: Alex Stalock(TOR), Reto Berra(COL), Rene Bourque(CBJ), Mike Brown(SJS), Adam Cracknell(VAN), Zac Rinaldo(BOS).

-The Philadelphia Flyers and forward Michael Raffl have agreed to terms on a 3 year contract extension. Raffl will make an AAV of $2.35 million per season.
