Time to speculate again! My latest notes;

-Joe Thornton is a free agent after this season and Zdeno Chara is showing signs of declining with the Bruins so could that mean these two players could be close to hanging up the skates?

Thornton is at an advanced age now however his elite production still continues which makes me think he's still got enough left in the tank to last a couple more seasons.

Chara however, could retire after next season depending on how he feels and how he performes this year for the Bruins.

-What will Brad Marchand's next contract be? Will it be with the Bruins?

My take is Marchand's next deal will pay him an AAV of around $7.5MM at 6 years.

In regards to who he'll play for, I think he'll explore free agency next offseason, but remaining with Boston will eventually be the outcome due to their continued desire to contend for a cup.

-The Arizona Coyotes under new GM John Chayka look to be going under a decent direction, but how they perform under the next few years with brand new talent coming up will be the deciding factor in the end.

So what do you think? Leave a comment below with your take on these situations. Stay tuned for more!
