Some speculation around some of the top young stars around the league;

-It's pretty much a given at this point that we will see the Maple Leafs select Morgan Rielly as the next captain. He's a leader amongst the youth on this team and is a perfect fit for the position.

-The Montreal Canadiens should position themselves for a full scale rebuild this year. With all that's going on around the team, if they are to stumble out of the gate and if the tainted relationships between Michel Therrien and players continues, GM Marc Bergevin needs to sit down and think things over. Of course, it should also be taken into consideration that Bergevin and Therrien should be fired.

-The Tampa Bay Lightning still have not signed Nikita Kucherov and they're running out of time. If Steve Yzerman can't get a deal done with Kucherov, then there will for sure be a market for his services. The team has to at least be entertaining the thought of dealing the young star.

-Jacob Trouba has been an oft discussed trade candidate and while he still seems unlikely to be dealt, could a deal with the Hurricanes make sense? Perhaps Carolina could dangle a couple of their high quality defense prospects to entice the Jets.
