Remember Chris Ivory?

One of the many problems that Gus Bradley had with OC Greg Olsen was that he didn't emphasize the run in the Jacksonville Jaguars offense. Before this past week (when the Jaguars went into Arrowhead Stadium to face to Kansas City Chiefs), the Jaguars ranked 31st in rushing. Even after this past week, they still rank 32nd in rushing attempts per game at 20.8. It appears that under new OC Nathaniel Hackett the offense has a different approach as the Jaguars rushed the football 32 times on Sunday. It was a pretty even split between running backs with Chris Ivory getting 18 carries and T.J. Yeldon getting 14.

Chris Ivory clearly made the most of his carries with a season high 107 yards rushing on 18 carries. It reminded me of when he played for the New York Jets the last two seasons. He totaled 1,900 yards on nearly 450 carries and 13 touchdowns during his last two seasons there. I don't talk about fantasy football much in blog posts, but for you fantasy football gurus in a tight league this is an encouraging sign. Under new OC Hackett, Ivory received the majority of the touches. If that is a continuing trend, it appears he could be a viable RB3 or Flex option in deep leagues.
