Burnley away preview
Quick team news. Aguero is 50/50, not good. Iheanacho could start. Zaba 50/50 too but I think City will play 3 at the back... Again. Terrible formation, not too bad with the right players (who know how to defend in numbers) but I think a flat 4 suits well, tuck the full backs in and pack the midfield and attack directly and we'll do good against the lower mid-table clubs in my opinion. Home and away. We have to beat Burnley tomorrow. If we gift them a chance or don't defend properly, they will punish. Ask Liverpool. They're capable of defending too, ask Man Utd. So we need pace up front and some creativity. If we go 3 at the back, Kolarov could be huge for this game tomorrow afternoon. He plays in my opinion, whether 4 or 3 at the back. Stones and Otamendi will play too. Fernando could play CDM/RB. I'd be tempted you know, push Fernandinho up more as he intercepts very well. He's unique, a special, underrated player. I love him. Build the defence around him and Stones in my opinion. Gundogan could slip in just ahead of Dinho, but I'd go for Yaya. He's hungry to succeed and played so well against Crystal Palace. Why not play him? Iheanacho or Kun Aguero lead the attack and terrible trio behind. Nolito needs some game time, he's been world class away from home in the league at times this season. Stoke, when he came on. Dominated at OT against Utd. Burnley are not quick, we could utilise pace but they won't come out. Rest Sterling in my opinion and use Silva and De Bruyne at rotate them two with the wings and central, like against Barcelona at home. It could work wonders. Burnley have built their defence around Keane, he's solid and in good form. Burnley are doing well this season, they will play up at home. Their fans won't care to them having near 0% of the ball. If we can get ahead, open the game up early then it could be another Stoke. City really struggle against intent, direct running and pace. Burnley don't have a lot of that. I'm not sure if Gray can play yet, but him or Vokes could cause problems. They won't go 2 up top so City need to make quality count. Quality wasn't great against Monchengladbach on Wednesday night, that needs rectifying. I'm hopefully for tomorrow though. If we can win then great, if we don't then the title slips away and top 4 qualification become top priority. I'll remain positive for now though. I'll go for 3-1 City, City to score first.
