Crystal Palace Review

Simply awesome. 5-0 and great. Otamendi and Kompany were great at the back and Clichy did so well getting back too. His challenge is next week, if he can do well against Leicester's pace then we should stand a great chance of making the top 4. Fernandinho wasn't great but his movement in midfield was good. I want another CDM or 2 in the summer so I think he may become rotation next season but what a great CDM rotation he would be. He isn't a left back or right back and should only be used there when needed in my opinion. Yaya looked strong and with some better passing, he would be a demon in midfield. He did well though. KDB was like his old self, good balls and passing was a lot better and got himself the third goal with Hennessey not getting down well enough. Kompany nabbed the second with a brilliant deflected pearler from just inside the box. The rock is back. The first came from my man of the match, Silva. He was everywhere and City have missed him badly. Lets keep him fit until the end of the season. We look so much better with him there. Sterling low left volley was well taken for the fourth. He played ok, Sane too. He looks so lively and a threat all the time. If he improved his shooting (he got his shots on target, they just need more accuracy, something he can work on as he matures) he would be the best winger in the league. He is so quick, direct and positioning and anticipation is amazing. Jesus was lively. Unlucky not to score but needs to work on his positioning a lot. His strength for the size of him is great. His movement is great and with a little more luck, may have had a goal today. But I felt like we was playing with 6 midfielders today rather than a forward and that allowed all the space for Sane, Silva, Sterling and KDB. They ripped Palace to shreds and Guardiola deserves credit for this, he took risks with Silva and set up the team the same and believed. All is good for now, all pressure on Liverpool, Arsenal and United. Arsenal and United play each other tomorrow. One, if not both, are dropping points and City now have the best GD out of all of them. The future feels a little better. Otamendi did a great header and movement to grab the fifth late, late on. Shout out to Caballero for his great save from Benteke in the first half at 1-0 with him doing literally nothing. A well deserved clean sheet and we move onto the next cup final next Saturday at 12.30 against Leicester at the Etihad again. Lets take this momentum forward. I'll see you next Friday for the preview to that game and next weekend for the review.

We're getting there.
