FINAL GAME OF THE SEASON (Watford away) review - LAST POST

It's been a long, hard season. The season is now done though and this is my final blog post. I will move back to Twitter (@jaysid and @JSGC171) and YouTube for my football and sport talk (YouTube - JSGC).

Watford were on holiday, that is clear. The bans boo'd, the manager is in charge yet it's already been announced he has been sacked. Is it any wonder he altered the teams and changed things around? City dominated all game, I felt sorry for the Watford fans, no fight or spirit, they have all the ingredients to go down next year unless they can really strengthen on the pitch and their coaches. I think the fans sense this too and it is very frustrating for them. Niang showed some quality but I don't think he'll return. The makeshift defence was bad and the midfield tried but again, not for the first time this season, as soon as Watford concede, their heads drop. City took an early lead, corner comes in and the Rock nods in. The Watford defence like statues. Nice one Vinnie, see you again next season, hopefully over his injuries because he is an ace central defender and City have really missed him. City scored again with De Bruyne hitting them on the counter attack, a wonderful through ball put Aguero perfectly 1 on 1 with the keeper and slots home. City had plenty of chances through Silva, Aguero, Jesus and De Bruyne early on so it was a relief to get the killer second in the first half. In reality, it could have and should have been 6 or 7 by half time. Sane broke away next and unselfishly just squares back and Aguero taps in. Another season with 20 plus goals in the PL for him, just the best. Pep also confirms him and Vinnie are staying next season so that is good in my opinion. Two of our better players this season. Aguero has had his best season for goals this season and that is mainly due to keeping fit and playing a lot more. More of the same next term Sergio, please. Just before half time, Fernandinho broke through from RB and with some 1 2's along the way finds himself 1 on 1 with the keeper and just about holds his balance and slots cooly home, like a striker. Well deserved Ferna, see you next season too, you have earned that extra years stay. 4-0 up at half time, away, where we need a point to secure Champions League football and a win to secure 3rd and automatically enter in the group stage for the CL. I'll take it. We could have had a lot more though.

A fifth came early in the second half, Jesus breaks into the box, a couple of neat flicks and a dink over the defender then dinks just over an advancing Gomes and into the net. Gomes gets a hand to it and that allows the ball to dip just nicely in the net. 5-0. Man I'm excited to see Jesus in a full season and in the Champions League too. Fantastic prospect. Sane too. Exciting times to come I hope. The game filtered away as the subs came on. Sagna and Navas entered for probably their last games (it felt like it anyway) and Iheanacho comes on for his last appearance ahead of an apparent move to join Zaba at West Ham. Good luck to them. £20M for him is a good deal. I hope he shows everyone how good he is. Watford grew into the game at 5-0 down, City slowed their play down, didn't really create anything and Watford saw Okaka go close with a wonderful save from Caballero and again, Caballero saves well low down from Niang. 5-0 and job done. Is this Caballero's last game? I'm not sure, we will see. I will post transfer updates and opinions on Twitter and YouTube, check out my names for them at the top and I will see you all on other outlets. Over and out.
