Liverpool Home Match Review (Very short)

Oh myyyyyyy. A draw in the end, City played the game for the first half. Liverpool very shy but that was all down to City's energy yet in terms of chances, very little. Liverpool broke through but with Mane looking for a penalty, missed his opportunity to score. Stupid. At the other end, Sterling and Aguero both fouled (Sterling clear) and Milner should have seen red but nothing to come. Fernandinho in the follow up missed a sitter. 0-0 half time. In the second half, Clichy slips, Firmino is in and Clichy plays a high boot to the ball and penalty given. Silly of Clichy as Otamendi and Caballero had covered him well, but a weak penalty and very frustrating as Milner scored and he should have seen red and City should have had a penalty at the other end. Annoying but 1-0 down. City then really struggled, looked weak and tired but out of nothing, KDB played a couple of good balls in and managed to find Aguero eventually and scored a simple goal for 1-1. Both teams tried their hardest but nothing prevailed. Aguero missed a couple of huge chances but Lallana missed an absolute sitter. In the end, a draw a fair result but does neither a favour. Next up for Liverpool, the merseyside derby at Anfield and United are hot on their heels. They are also on City's heels, with declining Arsenal away up late. Never a better time to head to the Emirates. Just like today, you need to play with 100% focus and be clinical to win, if you don't you will be punished. So City need to sort their shooting boots out. I'll end on saying how good Stones was today. Caballero excellent, Otamendi decent and Clichy played well too. I liked Ferna at RB too, nice to see a little pace there for once. I'd still like to see Zaba play and see how he goes. But Stones really excellent today.
