Man City - Spurs review

So disappointing. We played so well. I missed the game but it looks like we dominated possession (not easy against Spurs) dominated chances and left frustrated once more. 0-0 at HT, City had a few good chances and Spurs were full of mistakes. City punished this in the second half with 2 quick goals with 2 massive errors from their keeper. A poorly timed run and control allowed Sane a tap in and then dropping the ball on a cross and De Bruyne taps in. four minutes later, a good run and cross saw Alli tap in from close range with his head, an excellent goal. 2-1 and game on. Sterling has a chance for 3-1 and kill the game off with 20 mins left but he is clearly pushed, he stumbles and shoots straight at Lloris. If Sterling goes down, it is a penalty and Walked gets a red card. Instead, Son goes up the other end, capitalises on some bad defending and scores. Otamendi, Kolarov, Stones, they all are not the answer to City suring up their back line. So weak, if Vinnie isn't restored to fitness soon, we will struggle to break back to the top 4. So poor at defending. We had numerous chances to score but you should not need to score 3 all the time to sure a game up. Bravo had 2 shots on his goal and Spurs scored twice, that is 6 goals from 6 on target in his last 2 games. At least Caballero is in net next week for the cup. If he has a good game and City can keep a clean sheet, Bravo will be under massive pressure and Pep will have a decision to make. Let's hope it's the right one.

How good did Gabriel Jesus look? Just under 15 minutes on his belt and nearly scored twice, one disallowed. He nearly got an assist too. He's quick, skilful and determined. I like it. Lets hope he's the second coming and City can break back into the top 4 and show we are serious about qualifying for the CL. We need it. Come on boys. We played well. We play like we did on Saturday evening, we will win a lot of games this season. I'm not as worried as i was after the Everton game as Spurs, Man Utd and Liverpool have all dropped points. We need to punish it. Before then though, it is the FA Cup 4th round on Saturday with a 3pm KO at Selhurst Park. Crystal Palace are playing with no confidence (much like WHU in the cup weeks back) so lets match the result of the last round and get our confidence back. Come on lads. CTID.
