Monaco away 2nd leg last 16 Champions League Preview

Ugh, here we go again. This will be another crazy game again, I bet. Both teams have no idea how to defend so there will be goals. It's as simple as that. City lead 5-3 and we may see 8 more goals today. I think City need to score at least twice to stand a chance of going through because Monaco only need a 2-0 (Leicester won 2-0 yesterday at home) or 3-1 or 4-2. All plausible and doable so City need to be on top of their game. City have not won away this season in the CL but have a great away record in the Premier League. So this game is really unpredictable. I've no idea how it will go but I will just be glad to get through so any score as long as City go through will do me. Monaco's attack is young quick but under a lot of pressure tonight so hopefully City will make experience count. City will not sit back. Anything is possible. Monaco will look to score as many goals as possible tonight and Pep has said that the best way to defend is score. On that basis, what a great game for a neutral. I'm nervous. I'll be delighted if we go through tonight and extremely angry if we don't. We have a 2 goal lead and we will only not go through is we make a lot of mistakes tonight. Monaco's attack is so good, they can force mistakes. We conceded 3 at home, only Chelsea have done that this season at the Etihad. City need to not be complacent and keep their eyes on the prize. Treat it as a must win cup final. Pep keeps saying that and he makes a lot of sense. I believe. C'mon City.

Team news, Bravo or Caballero is a big call. Apparently Bravo could play, I hope not, Willy deserves to start and if it goes bad then play Bravo on Sunday. Both will get chances, both make mistakes and City need to make saves tonight so it has to be Caballero. Bravo is good with his feet but he isn't great at judging and making saves. He's weak. Caballero does make a lot of mistakes with the ball but he is getting better. Bravo has started keeping clean sheets in the FA Cup and looks better but tonight isn't the match to chuck him in. If he is put in goal, I hope he does well. I'll back Pep but if it goes wrong tonight, Pep will have a lot to answer to. It's his call. Defence, Sagna and Kolarov at RB and LB respectively I reckon. Don't rule out seeing Clichy at LB but I don't see why that would happen? Clichy isn't exactly playing well of late. We could see Fernandinho move to LB but again, that happened in the first leg and it didn't really work. Bernardo Silva and Mbappe ripped the left hand side of City's defence apart. Stones, Kolarov, Fernandinho and Sane all have a big role to play in that area. Silva, Aguero and KDB can help out and track there too. Limit Monaco. I feel like if City can cut them out, that is half the battle. Same applies for Monaco. They need to cut of space on Silva, cut out the chances of Aguero. The 3 difficult tasks for them though is when KDB moves out wide and gets balls in. Even when he isn't playing well, he can create 2 or 3 chances. If City can take their chances, they will go through. Sterling has bags of pace and causes all kinds of problems but Monaco's biggest problem is City on the counter and if that comes through the direct play of Sane, they are in trouble. He caused mayhem in the first leg. He is my man to watch. If he plays well tonight, City have every chances of going through and making the 2 goal aggregate lead count. My score prediction is 3-3, why not?
