Monaco review

Apologies for no preview, I've put it on Twitter if you want to see it. Just look on @jaysidlow17 . Sports blog was not working properly but it is now so on with the review. Just wow. A boring 0-0 on Saturday then 5-3 last night. What a game. Sterling, looking offside but was so so tight that I'm not sure, received a square ball across from Sane and tapped in. Monaco's defence was asleep. Talking of asleep, Monaco equalised through Falcao, a built, low, diving header past City's sleeping defence from their right back I think saw the game level.  A ball over later and it was 2-1, Mbabbe with a high finish in the roof. Great goal, composure and great pace about the lad who is only 18. Bernardo Silva made a mess of Yaya and their winger was in again but into the side netting. City should have had a penalty, Aguero brought down by the keeper, it was a goalscoring chance denied and I expected to see a red card, instead a yellow for Sergio for a dive. A clear joke, if he doesn't give a penalty, fair enough, the keeper flicks the ball in slow motion but in quick, he clearly brings him down. A joke. Talking of jokes, second half underway and Otamendi was booked as Falcao missed and penalty given about a minute later. Falcao takes the worst penalty ever (Hugill will be sad from Saturday) and Caballero keeps City in it. It wasn't a foul, Otamendi slides in (he's bad for that) and misses the clearance and man and Falcao misses. If it's a penalty, it's a red card for stopping Falcao getting a clear shot away (denying a goalscoring opportunity). It was all a joke but Monaco had not killed off City. City equalised out of nothing. Aguero with a bad shot straight at the keeper, he doesn't stop it and it flicks off his hand, his foot and into the net. God help us. It was then 3-2 Monaco. A long ball over again, Stones slips, Caballero advances on Falcao and chips him, amazing goal, check it out online, you won't regret it. City equalised again, this time a simple corner, no one heads it, Sergio leans and fires it so well into the opposite right hand corner. A level game again. Moments later, a corner from the other side, Monaco don't clear, Sergio flicks on and a just onside Stones redeems himself with a tap in. 4-3. The action isn't done there, Sergio is one on one, squares the ball across and Sterling and Sane chase. Sane taps in and Sterling has to jump out of the way of the ball otherwise the open net tap in would have been offside. Imagine. Phew we're done. See you next Wednesday for Huddersfield where hopefully the game will be less exciting so I can keep up. I hope Monaco isn't this exciting in 3 weeks. But advantage City right now. Onto the FA Cup. Peace.
