Spurs away preview

This is just a quick blog about Sunday's match, I'm a busy man. Spurs are without Kane for the match, he's injured yet no one knows when he is back. How serious is the injury?? Spurs have moved Son forward and he's doing very well, scoring five goals in Kane's absence I read yesterday on Sky Sports (is that a reliable source, they claimed Allardyce was sacked an hour before the confirmation, then removed the breaking news until they were certain, weird). I expect Spurs to do what they always do, make life difficult, I'm sure Poch in a frock was watching City's game on Wednesday and will take inspiration from City's mistakes and making life difficult for them. The only difference between the games is I'm sure Pep will know Spurs weakness and adapt the team to play so. We have being playing a 4-1-4-1 recently, I reckon this formation might change on Sunday to help adapt to the Spurs game. I think the longer City stay in the game, the more chance they have. City will boss possession, Spurs will set to counter and I hope Guardiola will set up to counter the counter (how well did City's counter attacks work against Bournemouth??). We need to play with pace, really stretch Tottenham. I know Walker likes to get forward, support the attackers, so Clichy and Sagna have to play. Sane and Sterling forward on the wings too. Track back, stick to positions and let Sterling and Sane attack. I would be more than happy with a 0-0. I'd be tempted to set up for a 0-0 too if i was City, it's important we don't let Spurs get ahead. We aren't playing Celtic who allowed a lot of space, Spurs won't allow space. The longer we stay in the game, the better chance we have. (Captain obvious).

Team news for City. Fernandinho will play in front of the defence, I want Fernando to play too. a 4-2-3-1 formation for me.  Silva will play as an attacking midfielder, Aguero up front and Sterling will play. Who will play on the other wing?? Nolito is suspended unfortunately (played great against Celtic, teams don't know if he's going on his right or left foot and causes problems when wrong footing defenders). Navas or Sane will play I reckon. The defence is a little easier to predict. Otamendi will play, I'm hoping Guardiola has learnt from playing Kolorov at CB and plays Stones, he's done well so far this season in my opinion. I went for Sagna to play, I wasn't too impressed with Zaba on Wednesday. Can he play two games a week? I'm not so sure. Clichy at LB, he's quicker than Kolorov, Walker will overlap and i'm fearful of Spurs pace, particularly early and late on in both halves as we tend to switch off and puts us at a serious disadvantage, particularly away from home. (Celtic twice, against Man Utd in the first half, conceding and nearly doing so again to name a few recently). Bravo starts in net. That's my team if there are no injuries. We might see Kolorov off the bench, Navas or Sane if one doesn't start off the bench too. We could see Gundogan too (he may start if pep goes for a 4-1-4-1 again with Fernando may be dropping to the bench, again, we may see him off the bench). Yes, predicting a Guardiola team is hard, but I will do it one day. Maybe Sunday will be the day. My prediction for the match is 0-0. Boring and conservative, but just like Celtic, I'll take a point away at a difficult side.
