West Ham review away

Deja vu. 4-0 and oh so comfortable. Pep made two huge calls, Caballero in (get in) and he got it spot on. A clean sheet and he has to start again against Swansea on Sunday. I only recall one shot on target, he saved it with ease. Bravo would have kept a clean sheet last night with how bad WHU were. However, perhaps the defence played with so much confidence as they had Willy in net. Bravo isn't confident and perhaps that mentally gets to the players. They try too hard. Relax. Pep's second big call was Fernandinho on the bench. Yaya played deeper, Silva and KDB forward. It worked well and shows that City, when not needing to defend, works so well. When they're up against it, surely Dinho needs to start? It worked well yesterday and I'd go with the same team on Sunday. Swansea don't press that high and don't defend that well. Why change. Sergio was on the bench, not a huge call with him just coming back from a small injury and his form not being too great. He'll feature and get games so I wouldn't worry if i was him, nor would I if i was Dinho either. How good was the front 3 yesterday though? The future of City with Sane, Sterling and Jesus having an average age of 20. Impressive. So impressive.

The game was a tad boring to start. First 20 mins started slow, West Ham played balls forward and not much was happening. City, like in the cup, waited for mistakes then punished them. 3 times they punished. First came when West Ham (Cresswell I think) passed straight to City in the middle, KDB takes the ball, dribbles and plays a wonderful to Jesus who squares back to KDB and he slots passed Randolph who is wrong footed. 1-0. Soon after, it was two. Sane takes on Byram, puts the ball through his legs, runs straight to the line, squares across and Silva taps in. Wonderful. The third came before half time, West Ham give the ball away again, Sane steals, plays a wonderful through ball, Jesus is offside but he leaves it as Raheem tells him to leave, he does so and Sterling, one on one with the keeper, noobs the ball to Jesus who taps in for 3-0. His first goal and what a front 3. So quick, so intelligent and skilful. Amazing. The fourth, another mistake. Sterling is lucky with a rebound (appeals for handball turned down), De Bruyne takes the ball, waits for Sterlings' run and passes a lovely ball to him, he draws Fonte in and as Sterling turns him, he fouls him. Sterling wanted to get back up but stays down. Learning his lessons from Spurs. Let the referee make a decision. He gives a Penalty and Toure never misses. 4-0. We move onto Sunday and Swansea at the Etihad. A must win. I'll be blogging the preview and review of that game so keep your eyes peeled for that soon. Until then, have a good one ladies and gentlemen.
