West Ham review FA Cup 3rd round.

We are the first to march on into the 4th round. I won't get carried away, Pep put out a strong team but I feel if we come up against anyone in the top 6 then we could well go out, like last year. We have a lot of games and I imagine the FA Cup is the least of the priorities, even if Pep says otherwise. He needs to make sure City get top 4 and progress in the CL, once that happens, we can look forward but that is months away. In terms of the match, if we turn up like that against Everton next Sunday then I will be very happy. West Ham played well for 35 minutes, were unlucky with the challenge on Zabaleta for the penalty and Yaya scored. WHU should have been level minutes later, the winger missed an open net. A shocking miss and City go up the other end and score. A good hold from Kun, Sagna makes the run and puts in a wonderful ball and Sterling has a tap in. The defender makes the challenge but scores an owl goal. West Ham's heads drop and I want City to score again and they do. Silva rips the defence apart when a through ball to Sterling is played onside, he's one on one, passes the ball to Silva who is onside and taps in. A noob goal on FIFA. 3-0 and half time, the game is up. Yaya has a shot in the second half, Aguero puts his foot in front of it and it goes in and he now passes the legendary Colin Bell for goals scored for City. Well played Sergio. A corner met by Stones' header hits the bar and the defender clears but not before it had bounced over the line and that wrapped up a 5-0 win. 4th round here we come. How good was Silva yesterday? KDB and Sterling very good too and a welcome clean sheet. Defenders did ok, I enjoyed Stones clearing to row Z, literally when he realised the defenders weren't all back. Best to be safe than sorry I suppose. A good performance and a typical Pep performance, more like that and we can make a success of this season.

No matches for 9 days now and a welcome rest. We should be signing a defender in that time, our only signing for the window and more than likely a loan so I have that to look forward to. We have the FA Cup 4th round draw on Monday night and then 2 Premier League games against Everton and Spurs away and at home respectively. Big games. Play like we did yesterday then we should be ok. It was nice to see City apply pressure for a whole game, the scoreline reflects that. We put pressure on West Ham, not them on us. That's what we need to do against Everton next Sunday and Spurs the week after. I feel better for the team now though. 5 wins from 6 and we have played some difficult matches in them matches. Liverpool away, WHU away and Arsenal at home. We're getting there.
