Wigan vs Preston preview

I'm heading to the DW Stadium tomorrow so won't be able to review City's match too well but I'll try my best. I will, however, be able to review the Wigan PNE match, in detail too. I'll be blogging and vlogging the match and quite possibly my last match of the season for me. Shame but we all live and move on. Wigan have been starting with Gilks in net and he'll be playing again tomorrow. Grigg started their last match so may start again. Elsewhere, no Gomez as he has left so Wigan left looking a bit bear but they're a good side with good players. I'll still be surprised if they are relegated. For PNE, they'll start with the same team. Why? They're doing ok this season, nearly safe and in the top half. A good, solid season again.

For the match itself, I'm not hopeful of it being very good. I can see it being more like the match with Bolton last season, home and away. Pretty boring and predictable. PNE do have a good record of local derbies though recently. It is Grayson's 4th year in charge, so masks will be worn and displays on show... Why not just chant his name and clap? Strange but at least the club are doing something for a PR stunt and involving fans. I doubt it will make fans return as Preston have a pretty solid core of away fans and a solid following for local derbies too. Strange. All strange. We will see. I'll see you there. My score prediction is a safe 1-1 and PNE to score first. Hugill. Team prediction:

Maxwell, Browning, Clarke, Huntington, Cunningham, Horgan, McGeady, Browne, Pearson, Robinson, Hugill.
