NHL Fight of the Week: Chris Neil vs. Cody Bass
Another week of NHL action is in the books, and it was another decent week for fighting. After struggling to reach double digits for the first few weeks of the season, the last couple weeks have both had 20+ fights. This week we saw 21. We saw a lot of high quality fights this week, many in the 6/10 or 7/10 range. Deryk Engelland vs. Jared Boll, Jonathan Ericsson vs. Wayne Simmonds, Artemi Panarin vs. Scottie Upshall, Chris Thorburn vs. Luke Schenn, and Chris Thorburn vs. Cody McLeod were all good fights. The best fight of the week, however, was without a doubt Chris Neil vs. Cody Bass from Tuesday night. The Nashville Predators and Ottawa Senators do not play each other a lot, but both teams have guys willing to drop the gloves. Neil and Bass are heavyweights in today's NHL, and they fought like it Tuesday. Chris Neil gets the win in this one, and I would rate it a 7/10 but bordering on an 8/10. This was a great fight, especially in the modern NHL.
