The upcoming Moscow Open will be the largest in history

Rector of the Russian State Social University Natalya Pochinok spoke about the upcoming International Cup of the Russian State University of Chess Chess Open Moscow and stated that the upcoming tournament would be the largest in its entire history.

“This chess festival includes eight different tournaments, including for the smallest participants,” said Natalya Pochinok. In addition, we hold additional events, including training seminars and an international conference. To date, about 2500 applications have been submitted to participate in the tournament. This will be the largest festival in the history of its holding. And every year we look for new ways of development, because we want to convey the importance of chess education not only in our city, but throughout the country. I also want to note that we invited the Minister of Sports Oleg Matytsin to the tournament, and I hope that, taking into account the schedule, he will be able to allocate time for us (Petr Grigorenko)
