A-Rod Suspended for 2014
Arbitrator Fredric Horowitz has ruled on Alex Rodriguez' case, and has handed down a 162-game suspension. It is shorter than the origional 211-game ban that was proposed, but the Yankees are the big winners here, saving $25 million in salary not paid to A-Rod. This isn't the end of the road of this case, as A-Rod has announced that he plans to sue in federal court regarding this ruling.
