Bridgewater To Start For Vikes? Better Fantasy Value Than Manziel

Teddy Bridgewater was drafted with the last pick of the first round by the Minnesota Vikings. Christian Ponder is all but out of luck in the NFL, and Matt Cassel is nothing special. Bridgewater landed in the right spot to earn value in fantasy land, with legitimately underrated weapons at his disposal in the passing game (Cordarelle Patterson, Greg Jennings - remember when he was a stud in Green Bay?, Kyle Rudolph), and obviously Adrian Peterson to take the weight of defensive pressure off his shoulders.
The Minneapolis Star-Tribune and NFL Network have reported that it's definitely possible that Bridgewater could win the starting job right out of the gates, and only preseason will tell if he can earn the job or not.

With a focused player, a good situation with the team, and better supporting cast, Bridgwater will undoubtedly bring more fantasy value than Johnny Manziel. Heck, Brian Hoyer could (and should) be the quarterback this year for the Browns as Manziel learns the ropes of the NFL. Hoyer was decent in his time last season before getting hurt, so there should be no rush in grabbing Manziel in a redraft league.
