RGIII, Gronk Set To Bounce Back From Injury
Last year, teams that drafted Robert Griffin III and Rob Gronkowski cursed at their bad luck.
However, their suppressed values this year means that you can get them at steep discounts.
The Patriots said, per a quote from their website, that "all signs point" to Gronk returning by week 1. We all remember Gronkowski taking the league by storm with Jimmy Graham, and with Aaron Hernandez now in jail, Gronk can be every bit of a fantasy monster that Graham is.
I love pairing both Gronk and Jordan Cameron in fantasy drafts. With Josh Gordon out of the picture, I can see Cameron blossoming even further, regardless of who's at the QB helm (be it Johnny Manziel or even Brian Hoyer).
RGIII is more of a wait and see value pick in fantasy drafts, as there's less risk but the QB position is much deeper in general. If you whiff on Jimmy Graham, Gronk, and Cameron, you're left with no better than a Jason Witten. Some deep sleeper picks late in your draft could be Martellus Bennett, Zac Ertz, Greg Olsen, etc. However, at QB, you can find tons of high quality players (heck, Tom Brady and Matt Ryan can be had around the 100s ADP wise).
However, if your league rewards rushing yards and TD's, realize that RGIII has a significant advantage over all of them. He could take a leap to Cam Newton levels.
Even Redskins' Offensive Coordinator Sean McVay says that RGIII has regained his 2012 form. Not having to play with a knee brace anymore also helps.
Look for both Robs to surpass their ADP prices, though Gronk could be a great fantasy stash even if he does miss some time. Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola, and Shane Vereen can't catch everything.
