CJ McCollum

NBA: Portland Trail Blazers at Miami Heat

I have been infatuated with CJ McCollum's game ever since his Lehigh days. His isn't overly athletic or uber-quick, yet he is averaging 23 points per game this season. He relies on his high IQ and his change of speeds to keep those defending him off balance. CJ also possesses a mid-range game that is borderline unguardable. He stops on a dime, with the defender caught in the midst of a backpedal, and pulls up. It is a lost art in today's NBA as teams usually launch threes or attack the rim. When neither is available players must have another option to resort to. CJ McCollum does and it has allowed him to develop into one of the best scoring guards in the NBA.
