LeBron is the MVP

I am going to keep this short and simple. James Harden will win the MVP this season, but LeBron James deserves it. He deserves it just like he has in each of the past ten seasons or so. Want proof that The King is the 2018 NBA MVP? On Wednesday night, both LeBron and Harden played in pivotal playoff games where each of their respective teams won. The Rockets dismantled the Timberwolves, 102-82, while Harden shot 2 for 18 from the floor. Let me say that again, the Rockets won a playoff game by 20 points when their best player couldn’t hit the ocean from the side of a cruise ship. Meanwhile in Cleveland, the Cavs narrowly edged out the Pacers, 100-97, and needed every morsel of a 46 point, 12 rebound, and 5 assist effort from LeBron to do so. We can get into the semantics of the word valuable and what it means, but to me the Most Valuable Player is the player who is the most irreplaceable. I think that player is LeBron James and quite frankly, it’s not even close.
