Lonzo Ball

His brother just had 92 points in a high school game earlier this week, but last night it was Lonzo who took the court in a Pac 12 showdown against Oregon. While UCLA did win, and Ball hit a clinching setback three from 30 feet, I still remain skeptical of the UCLA point guard's effectiveness at the next level. His shot while silky, is very unorthodox. His sweeping release requires that he have maximum airspace when he shoots, and that just will not be the case in the NBA. While he is a sure-fire top 3 pick based on his playmaking ability, I am not so sure he will be a sure-fire franchise player. I think both Dennis Smith Jr. and Markelle Fultz are both better suited to succeed at the next level.
