Flashback Friday: Gillberg Beats Christian For The WWE Light Heavyweight Title
On SmackDown this week, James Ellsworth scored perhaps the greatest upset in WWE history when he got a pinfall victory over WWE World Champion AJ Styles.
It brought back memories of a match on Raw in 1998, when Duane Gill -- who would go on to become a novelty act in WWE as Gillberg -- defeated Christian for the WWE Light Heavyweight Title.
Coincidentally, Ellsworth and Gillberg are both from my hometown of Baltimore.
