Morning Update 1/30/2017

DeMar DeRozan scored 22 points, in his return for the Raptors, after missing three games with an ankle injury. And despite a game high, 33 from Kyle Lowry, Bismack Biyombo and the Magic get the win 114-113. Toronto was outscored 33-15 in the second quarter, despite Dwayne Casey dressing 15 men for the first time since training camp, to help on defense. Jared Sullinger did not dress for the game. Sullinger requested a conditioning stint in the minors following his return from injury.

Russell Westbrook got his 24th triple double of the year. But Kyrie Irving and LeBron James combined for 54 points in Clevelands 107-91 win over the Thunder.

Carmelo Anthony was clutch, making the shot to send it to OT. Then again to send it to Double OT. But it was Atlanta who would get the win in the fourth extra frame 142-139 in the longest NBA game this season.

Steph Curry missed Golden State's contest against Portland with the Flu.  But Kevin Durant led the Warriors with 33 points, leading Golden State to it's 10th win in 11 games, 113-111 over the Blazers.

Big night for the superstars with the Pro Bowl and NHL All Star game this weekend.

The AFC top the NFC 20-13 in the Pro Bowl.

The NHL all Star game saw Wayne Gretzky make his return to coaching and Justin Beiber get sandwiched into the boards by Chris Pronger. The Metropolitan Division win the NHL contest defeating the Pacific 4-3. Wayne Simmonds is the tournament MVP.

No word yet on whether the Top Prospects game will be held in Quebec City, following the shootings that transpired there yesterday.

Jon Rahm came out victorious in the Farmers Insurance Open shooting a -13 in the tournament. Adam Hadwin finished the best of any Canadian in the field, tied for 49th and shooting a -1.

Brooke Henderson shot a -13, good enough for a share of 21st place, in the Pure Silk Bahamas LPGA classic.
