Embiid, Surging Sixers win Again

The Sixers won another game. This time it was the first-place Toronto Raptors who became the Sixers 7th victim in 9 games. Joel Embiid scored a game high 26 pts including 4 clutch free throws down the stretch to seal another victory for the Sixers with a 94-89 win over the visiting Raptors.

Earlier before the game Raptors coach Dwayne Casey compared Embiid’s emergence to Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal. Casey has been around the NBA block for a long time and his words appears to be on point. Embiid’s points per minute span already compares to another Sixers legend and Hall of Famer Wilt Chamberlain. The “Big Dipper” is smiling down from the heavenly skies as Embiid continues to display his on-court charm and dominance.

During the game reports surfaced that Ben Simmons is likely to make his debut after the All-Star break. There’s nothing like being a Sixers fan at this point. The Sixers are beating playoff caliber teams and are on the verge of being healthier with Simmons arrival. An 8th seed finish doesn’t seem so far fetched at this point; the Sixers are playing with extreme confidence and at the heart of it is the fun loving big man who’s taking the city the Philadelphia by storm.
