Better Sports Management is the need of the hour, says Rhiti Sports Owner, Mr Arun Pandey

Indians love cricket more than any other sport. However, Mr Arun Pandey, the owner of Rhiti Sports, believes that even though cricket is the most followed sport in the country, other sports should not be neglected.Authorities need to take measures for equal sports management in India.

Mr Pandey hopes that the authorities will pay a bit more attention to other sports as well. He expects Indian sports to undergo a revamp in near future, which will give rise to better sports management in the country. On one side of the spectrum, we are enjoying the success of our cricket team, but at the same time it’s not good to see the Indian Football team staring down the barrel to be placed at 107thspot in the latest FIFA rankings.

Football has the most viewership in the world when it comes to sports. It is played by most of the countries unlike cricket, which has limited viewership and is mainly played by 10-12 countries. Rhiti Sports owner, Mr Arun Pandey said that it’s high time to take adequate steps in order to raise the level of football and other sports in India. He further added that he has already started an initiative himself in order to promote other sports in the country. Through Rhiti Sports, he has been running various campaigns and organizing tournaments to bring the talented players on big stage.

The company is already associated with teams like Ranchi Rays and Chennai FC in IHL and ISL respectively. Proper promotion of these sports can serve India well for the longer run. The recent consequences of improper management of sports in the country have been shocking to say the least. Recently, 8 Manipuri footballers were unable to manage their expenses to play in the U17 FIFA World Cup due to non-payment of their dues. If we had a proper system in place, this unfortunate incident could have been averted.

However, Mr Arun Pandey believes that all is not lost, with the recent announcement of AIFF (All India Football Federation) is a massive boost for Indian football. The AIFF confirmed that India has formally bid forU20 world cup in 2019.
