Three Wild Pitches (Packers Draft, Bucks, Bears)

1) WHO DO THE PACKERS TAKE WITH #33 OVERALL?

Okay, Ted Thompson, you and the Green Bay Packers are now on the clock. And the good news is, you have a lot of time to decide what direction to go in. As far as needs are concerned, Dalvin Cook is still available at RB, Forrest Lamp at G, Zach Cunningham and Tyus Bowser at OLB, and Chidobe Awuzie, Kevin King, Quincy Wilson and Teez Tabor at CB. There are a lot of options.

Since there are more options at corner, and I think a running back this early is a dumb move, you have to look at Cunningham or Bowser. I also think it's too early to take a guard, especially with Thompson's abilities to draft linemen in the middle rounds. If I'm Green Bay, I trade back a bit farther and hope either Bowser or Cunningham is available, and bank on Wilson, Tabor, or a Jourdan Lewis being around at #61.

2) TOO BAD FOR THE BUCKS

I kind of had a feeling once that comeback happened that they would blow it in the end, and they did. Overall, they played better than expected, or at least better than I expected, and I'm bummed they lost the way they did. Expect some promising things next year, though.

3) WHAT ARE THE BEARS DOING?

I understand that the Bears are desperate for a quarterback, but isn't that why they spent $15 million on Mike Glennon? To move up one spot for a definitely not sure thing, they gave up their third and fourth rounders along with a third next year. I know that you need a good quarterback to do well in the NFL, but c'mon. That was a dumb trade.
