Josh Smith Signs Lucrative Deal in China

With hopes of cracking another opportunity in the NBA, Smith decided to make some extra money by going overseas and signing with the Sichuan Blue Whales of the Chinese Basketball Association. And by extra money we mean a lucrative, three month contract valued at $1,500,000.

Only the fourth season in the CBA, the Blue Whales have already had a handful of former NBA players on the roster, from Hassan Whiteside (2013), DJ White, The Panda's Friend (Also known as Ron Artest/Metta World Peace), Daniel Orton and Darius Johnson-Odom.

Currently, the squad features three players who have had stints in the NBA in Justin Dentmon, Mike Harris and Hamed Haddadi.
