Sunday night, the men and women of the WWE prepare for mayhem and carnage when WWE Hell in a Cell emanates from San Antonio, TX.

8 matches from both Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live fill up the card for the September PPV. 6 championships will be defended at the event while rivalries that go back years will culminate tomorrow night.

The card looks to deliver a great show for the WWE Universe, so let’s take a look at all 8 matches.

Monday Night Raw

First, we’ll start with Monday Night Raw that has only 3 matches on the card but they are good matches for sure.

Raw Women’s Championship: Alexa Bliss vs “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey (C)
Ronda Rousey has made her transition from the octagon in UFC to the ring in WWE look easy. Starting with her match at WrestleMania all the way through to her dominating performance at SummerSlam last month when she took the Raw Women’s Championship from Alexa Bliss. However, her counterpart Bliss, has done a lot to try and get inside the head of the champ over the last few weeks on Raw. Blindside attacks on Rousey from Bliss have given the former champ the edge in this match. Yet this is something that has made Rousey very angry and that is something that plays into her favor. She has been champion for a month and it doesn’t seem like she’s ready to let go of the title, no matter what clever game plan “Little Miss Bliss” is cooking up.
Winner: “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey

Raw Tag Team Championship: Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose vs Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre (c)
Ziggler and Rollins have had quite the summer battling over the prestigious Intercontinental title which Rollins took back from Ziggler at SummerSlam. Now you add the “Scottish Psychopath” and the “Lunatic Fringe” to the mix and this could be the best tag team the WWE Universe sees all year long. However, since SummerSlam, Ziggler and McIntyre have been riding a wave of momentum along with Braun Strowman. They have been decimating Rollins and Ambrose along with WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns the last few weeks. After they defeated the B Team to capture the titles and retain the titles against the B Team, Ziggler and McIntyre have been better than ever. Despite all these events, Rollins and Ambrose got the upper hand last Monday when the pendulum swung back in the direction of the Shield.
Winner: Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose

WWE Universal Championship: Hell in a Cell Match: Braun Strowman vs Roman Reigns (C) with Mick Foley as Special Guest Referee
When Braun Strowman won the Money in the Bank earlier in the Summer it seemed inevitable that he would be the next Universal Champion. That seemed to be more apparent at SummerSlam when former champion Brock Lesnar put the title on the line against Roman Reigns. Reigns eventually slayed the beast and the focus on Reigns was through the eyes of Strowman. He attempted to cash in the night after SummerSlam but the Shield thwarted it and that is how Strowman aligned himself with Ziggler and McIntyre to combat the Shield.

That Brings us to a week or so later when Strowman announced he would cash in at Hell in a Cell which was still a few weeks away. This is another chapter in this rivalry that has always delivered dating back to last year. You add these two Superstars inside Hell in a Cell plus with Mick Foley, a legend who made his name inside that cell, and this could be an instant classic. This one is tough to predict because Strowman is unstoppable and Reigns has been on a collision course to get the title. He’s now on a collision course to keep the title.
Winner: Pick ‘Em

Now, we’ll head over to SmackDown Live that will showcase 5 matches including 3 titles.

SmackDown Live

Hell in a Cell Match: Jeff Hardy vs Randy Orton
Randy Orton came back a few months ago after some time off and set his eyes on Jeff Hardy. This renewed rivalry is taking on new life as Jeff and Randy will settle this inside the cell. This will be Hardy’s first time inside the cell but Orton is very familiar with the structure. Both superstars have traded blows over the last few weeks with Orton getting most of the damage in on Hardy. Orton is looking to get rid of all the WWE Universe’s heroes starting with Hardy but I don’t think it will be enough to vanquish the “Enigma”.
Winner: Jeff Hardy

Mixed Tag Team Match: The Miz and Maryse vs Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella
Once again Miz and Maryse see themselves in mixed tag action against a Bella and their significant other. This time it is against Miz’s longtime rival, Daniel Bryan and his wife Brie Bella. Miz and Bryan renewed their rivalry after many years last month at SummerSlam when Miz came out on top. This match will be the next chapter in this storied rivalry but the wives of these two superstars are added to the mix. Miz has been verbally assaulting Bryan since their match at SummerSlam and Bryan has been attempting to get back at Miz anyway possible. Adding Maryse and Brie to the match adds a whole new dynamic to this rivalry. After picking up the win at SummerSlam, I believe it is time for Bryan to get the edge back at Miz setting up another match sometime down the road.
Winner: Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella

SmackDown Tag Team Championship: Rusev Day vs the New Day (c)
Rusev Day won a tag team tournament to earn a shot at the 5 time tag team champs the New Day setting up this match on Sunday. Rumors are circling that this match will be on the Kick-Off show but this is still going to be a good match nonetheless. New Day have dominated the tag team division since forming their group years ago. This could be the perfect time for someone to dethrone them and Rusev Day could be that team. However, I don’t think New Day is ready to go away just yet.
Winner: the New Day

SmackDown Women’s Championship: Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair (c)
This match could be a show-stealer because of the history between these talented women. Flair and Lynch go back to their NXT days and have been friends ever since. The times they’ve had a match it was entertaining to say the least. Their rivalry has taken on a new angle though when Becky has been fed up coming in second place to other women in the division including her friend Charlotte. Becky has been attacking her now former friend every week since SummerSlam and has made her intentions known that she wants that top spot once again. It is a long time coming for Becky to take her spot at the top of SmackDown live and this new attitude change can be that pivotal factor for her to claim that spot.
Winner: Becky Lynch

WWE Championship: Samoa Joe vs AJ Styles (c)
Samoa Joe and AJ Styles have had an interesting rivalry going on the last month and a half. That is just putting it lightly because this rivalry has gotten personal very fast with the inclusion of Styles’ family through the words from Joe. Styles reached his breaking point at SummerSlam when he got himself disqualified with the use of multiple chair shots to his opponent. The as the weeks continued, Styles and Joe traded words then traded fists. It just a shame that this match won’t be inside the Hell in a Cell but it certainly be a smash-mouth match that will hurt the viewers. This match is also very tough to call because Joe’s mind games can break any champion but this AJ Styles. He’s the “Phenomenal One” and it seems like it could be working. An important fact also is Styles is approaching a year with the WWE Title but this is his toughest challenge yet.
Winner: AJ Styles

WWE Hell in a Cell begins at 6pm with the Hell in a Cell Kick-Off Show and then the main show begins at 7pm live on the WWE Network.
