Mets-Marlins series

Mets vs Marlins.jpg

The Mets and Marlins will face off for the first time this year at Citi Field on April 7th, 8th, and 9th. The Mets look to give the ball to Zack Wheeler, Robert Gsellman, and Noah Syndergaard for the 3 games. The Mets will be facing LHP Wei-Yin Chen, LHP Adam Conley, and RHP Edinson Volquez on ESPN sunday night baseball. The two lefties means more playing time for Wilmer Flores, who is coming off of a good night at first base including a 2-run HR an the rubber game with Atlanta. The Mets come into the series at 2-1, tied for first, and Marlins come into the series 1-2, tied for last. I know it's early (like really early) but important to get into habits. Looking at recent history, the Mets have taken the season series from Miami each of the past 3 season and 4 of the last 5. Last season the Mets went 12-7 against Miami, including 2-1 with Noah Syndergaard on the mound, Syndergaard with a 2-0 record in those games, posting an ERA of only 1.80. Should be a fun series. The Mets really need a strong start with so many division games to start the season.
