Tempers flare in Mets 4-3 win over Phillies

The Mets won their toughest fought game of the young 2017 season last night, a 4-3 victory over Philadelphia. Behind 2 Jay Bruce home runs, including the go ahead 2-run dinger in the 8th, the Mets won their second in a row for the first time this year, with a record of 4-3 going into the 2nd game of the 3 game set with the Phils. Asdrubal Cabrera got thrown at in the 8th inning, with the ball sailing over his head. Phillies manager Pete Mackanin got tossed, and Cabrera eventually drew a walk, and scored on the Bruce homer. Addison Reed gave up a solo shot in the 9th, but held on for his second save of the year and the Mets 4th. The Mets go for the series win tonight with Matt Harvey on the mound.
