Tuesday Premier League Predictions
With the busy Christmas period about to begin, Premier League football returns to midweek action on Tuesday with two matches taking place.
Everton vs Arsenal
Starting at Goodison Park where struggling Everton are set to take on title hopefuls Arsenal as they look to defend their unbeaten home record. The Blues have somewhat struggled under Ronald Koeman so far as the Dutch manager juggles to find his best system and strongest line-up. Despite losing to Watford this weekend, Everton personnel will be happy to see striker Romelu Lukaku back on form and on the score sheet. Tuesday will represent a huge challenge for the Blues however, as they take on an Arsenal side finding their best form of the season. Attacking trio Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Theo Walcott will be incredibly difficult to stop, especially with Everton looking all at sea defensively in recent weeks. The Gunners have scored eleven goals in their last three Premier League games and should take advantage of a fragile Everton side who have only beaten the visitors once in their last ten meetings at Goodison Park.
Prediction: Everton 1-3 Arsenal. Alexis Sanchez to score anytime.
Bournemouth vs Leicester
Defending champions Leicester have recently struggled for form in the Premier League this season, however, at the time of writing this, they are currently 3-0 up against Manchester City thanks to a Jamie Vardy brace. The defending champions also however failed to win a single league game in the month of November so it certainly has not been the title defence that the Foxes would have dreamed of. Considering his brace so far against Manchester City, Leicester fans will be hoping Jamie Vardy can spark into life and fire Leicester to a respectable league finish. Bournemouth on the other hand were excellent in coming back to beat Liverpool 4-3 last weekend, however, they failed to build on that momentum this weekend in their away defeat to Burnley. Despite Bournemouth being a difficult team to face at home, I see Leicester edging this one.
Prediction: Bournemouth 1-2 Leicester. Islam Slimani to score anytime.
Will Romelu Lukaku and Everton be able to stop Arsenal's momentum on Tuesday evening.
