Can this Clippers win the Championship?

Everyone is buzzing about the Los Angeles Clippers because of the carnage that they did in their last few games.

At the end of the day though, the only question that matters is, can this Los Angeles Clippers triumph this season?

So, let us lay down the numbers:
PTS: 105 (15th)
FG%: 44.60% (16th)
REBS: 46.5 (6th)
T.O.s: 12 (5th)
STLS: 10.1 (2nd)
Opp. PTS: 88.3 (1st)
Opp. FG%: 39.60% (1st)
Opp. 3PM: 6.3 (1st)
Opp. ASTS: 18 (1st)

Now, we can further narrow the question into, can this form of LAC defeats Cleveland and Golden State?

As you can see, they are killing it on the defensive end but they are not doing extra-ordinary things in the offensive end.

A simple check is to compare their numbers to the averages of Cleveland and Golden State last year.

Golden State put up 107.7 points, 12.8 three-pointers, 24.3 assists and 45.5% FG. While Cleveland managed 104.8 points, 12.3 three-pointers, 21.2 assists and 46.9% FG.

If we consider that, I think we can say that this Los Angeles can outplay the last two NBA champions.

Let us check it deeper by comparing their numbers to the production of these two teams in their playoff victories. Golden State produced 113.5 points, 13.5 three-pointers, 26.1 assists, 47.5% FG and 45.4 rebounds. While Cleveland put up 109.6 points, 13.3 three-pointers, 22.6 assists and 48.8% FG and 44.4 rebounds.

Those two teams pushed their numbers in their victories and with the current numbers of the Clippers, they actually covered all those areas.

We expect Cleveland and Golden State to play a little different and much better in the playoffs but I think Clippers' numbers right now is excellent enough to defeat the best of the Cavs and the Warriors.
