NFL Week 2

After a very impressive week 1 going 4-1, (Tennessee covering +5.5, Packers covering +3, Bengals covering +8.5 and Texans covering +7, Denver Broncos failing to cover +2.5), week 2 is underway.

Dallas Cowboys @ Washington Redskins +5.5

The Washington Redskins have one of the most underrated defenses in the NFL. After a 20-7 lead in the first half against the Philadelphia Eagles, they fell apart in the second half. But, this is also on the road against a Super Bowl winning franchise. The Redskins find themselves home now against the Dallas Cowboys who are 18-1 Super Bowl favorites. The Cowboys will be difficult to beat. But to cover a near touchdown, the Redskins should be able to cover. After losing by 5 points in Philadelphia, at home, they should be able to cover 5 points. Especially after a rough week one loss, their home opener will get the Skins going.

PICK: Washington Redskins +5.5

Cleveland Browns @ New York Jets +3

Ah yes, the Cleveland Browns, a losing franchise who signed a hothead in OBJ, a young quarterback, a head coach with no experience that argues with his offensive coordinator, and no winning experience, week one shows that the NFL will humble you. The Jets are at home after a tough division loss against the Buffalo Bills. The Browns still have no identity and are favorites because of the loud noise they create, not because of the personnel of the team. The standard does not match the hype. The Browns will struggle in the beginning of the year and end 8-8, 9-7. The Jets are home catching points.

PICK: New York Jets +3

Seattle Seahawks @ Pittsburgh Steelers -3.5

The Seattle Seahawks lost nearly every bit of talent they had left on the Legion of Boom when safety Earl Thomas signed with the Baltimore Ravens. Russel Wilson has virtually no help. They beat the injured Cincinnati Bengals with no AJ Green by a point at home with the twelfth man. The Pittsburgh Steelers got rocked in New England against the Patriots. Mike Tomlin will gather his group and be ready for the home opener. The AB, Bell distraction is now behind them. It's time to perform.

PICK: Pittsburgh Steelers -3.5

Chicago Bears @ Denver Broncos +2

The Chicago Bears is a team that will not perform in the fashion they did just a year ago. Their team will come back to earth and we saw the beginning of the end in week 1 when they played the Green Bay Packers. All they have is defense. Are we sure Mitch Trubisky can perform, especially against good defenses? Is he the answer? The Denver Broncos on the other hand have a very underrated squad. With one of the better defenses in the NFL, the Bear's offense will have a difficult time on their hands. Denver is at home catching points. Say what you want about Joe Flacco; he is a Super Bowl MVP.

PICK: Denver Broncos +2
