In Ottawa: The Ottawa Senators have received calls on Mike Hoffman, Zack Smith, and Jean-Gabriel Pageau, according to Bruce Garrioch of The Sun.
Ottawa has been enduring a lack luster season thus far, after Erik Karlsson announced he would not be open to a home town discount on his next contract. Senators owner Eugene Melnyk stated that if arena attendance fails to improve, he may look to relocating the team.
“If it becomes a disaster, yes. If you start not seeing crowds showing up, yes,” - Eugene Melnyk, Ottawa Senators owner.
St. Louis Blues, Calgary Flames Florida Panthers and San Jose Sharks have "likely shown interest in Hoffman, Smith and Pageau".
