A&M Chancellor Looking To Terminate Sumlin Contract...?
((HT: KBTX-TV/SEC Country))
It might be... and damn the payout...
When this happened, it was the second quarterback to bail post haste and the fan base-slash-boosters-slash-administration might have had enough...
According to the folks at SEC Country, Texas A&M Chancellor John Sharp is looking to terminate the contract of his coach. Chip Brown was a guest of Bo Mattingly across Arkansas this afternoon on the latter's sports talk show:
Brown: The Texas A&M chancellor is unhappy with the direction of the program & is working to terminate Kevin Sumlin’s contract.— Bo Mattingly (@SportsTalkwBo) December 18, 2015
Kyle Allen, Kyler Murray, and Speedy Noil's suspension combined with the end-of-season fade are not sitting well. More from the conversation of Brown and Mattingly addressed the issue of the $20-million buyout that Sumlin has at present.
Brown: There’s a $20M buyout for Sumlin, and I’m told Sharp is going to try and cut that in half or fire Sumlin for cause.— Bo Mattingly (@SportsTalkwBo) December 18, 2015
The folks over at Fansided/Saturday Blitz are saying that the Sharp actions might even include the firing of A&M Athletics Director Eric Hyman.
More when we know more...
