How is this even possible? We've seen some pretty crazy buzzer beating shots from a variety of places on a basketball court. But I don't think we've ever seen one like this.

This came at the end of the 2nd quarter in the NCAA Women's Tournament game between Maryland and West Virginia. Our hero: Maryland's Destiny Slocum who found herself only 1/4 (75-feet) of the way up the court as the clock was running out.

Slouch didn't throw the ball in the traditional way---no, she hurls it with two hands, over her head much like a soccer inbounds pass.

And yes, it went in.

The shot gave the Terps a 38-24 halftime lead and they would win this game easily---83-56.
