So....Washington Capitals Alexander Ovechkin guaranteed a Game 7 win while saying his teams goalie, Braden Holtby was better than Henrik Lundqvist.

Um, yeah, Ovie was 0-2 in the prediction department.

The New York Rangers used an overtime goal by Derek Stepan to take the Game 7 and series win over the Caps 2-1 in an absolutely classic NHL Stanley Cup Playoff game Wednesday night. The win capped a comeback that saw the Rangers go down 3-1 in the Best of 7 series, then storm back and win the next three games.

As for Ovechkin, it wasn't for lack of effort on his part. He had a goal and was all over the ice, trying his best to lead his team to the win.

But the difference was Ludqvist who had 35 saves on the night. He stopped nearly everything thrown at him. And it was a lot.

Holtby wasn't bad either, stopping 37 of 39 shots in a game that was an absolute battle to the end.
