How to set up email in the Mail app for Windows

1.Add a new email account

For adding a new email account, open the mail app by clicking the window and start” MENU” and choose mail.

2. If you are first time or you have opened this mail app first time, You will see the Welcome Page.

3. Select “ Add account to get started.

If you have used this app before, go at the bottom of the left navigation pane, select setting

Then choose Manage accounts.

4. Select Add account.

5. Select the types of account you want to add on your account

6. Fill the required information and click Sign-in for most of the accounts , this will be your email address, password, and the account name. The account will be of that name which will be shown on both the left pane of mail for windows 10 as well as the manage accounts pane.

7. Click Done Here you data will start correct as soon as your account set up.

Another option for add an account set up email in the Mail app for Windows

Click on Advanced setup only if your automatic email setup fails in steps mention above.

Click on the Advanced setup form the Choose an account window in step 2 above.It would be last option on the list.

You can select an Exchange ActiveSync account or an Internet mail account but only when your Administrator has instructed you to Exchange it

Follow the instruction mentioned below and to set up email in the Mail app for Windows

Email: In your email address will be the name which shown in the left pane of the mail app.

User name: Here you will feed your full email address.

Password: Here you will enter your email address password.

Account name: This will be the name which is shown in the left pane of the Mail for Windows 10, and also in the Manage Accounts pane. You can select any name which you want to select.

Send your messages using this name: Here you can enter the name you want to recipients to see when they receive your messages.

Email Servers Incoming: You will collect this information from your ISP or administrator. Usually, an incoming mail server address is in the format of mail.contoso.com or imag.google.com.

Account type: You can choose IMAP4 and POP3 and still you are cinfuse what to choose between these two you can choose you ISP.

SMTP email server: You can get this information from ISP or Adminstrator.

By default, the all four check boxes at the bottom of the window will checked , In most of the cases no one change it and not even require it.

Then your email provider will give you the setting which is required to fill in the set up, you have an another option in which you can also go to the IMAP Server name and POP.

After you have fill it Click Sign in > Done.
