Adrian Peterson is Back and Could Play as Early as Sunday

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson is here to save the day. Peterson will finally make his return to the NFL this weekend after playing his last game week 2. He went out with a knee injury (torn meniscus if I am correct) and was put on IR right away. Adrian Peterson is a tough guy and tries his past to play through minor injuries. We know that this one was quite serious.

The Vikings still have to make a roster move in order to activate Adrian Peterson, but he is confident that he will play this weekend. The 31-year-old running back has just 50 rushing yards on 31 carries this season. This is the first week he has been able to fully participate in practices. If he does not get activated this weekend expect him to play next week against Green Bay.

"I'm extremely hungry to get out there and help these guys win," Peterson said, per Matt Vensel of the Star Tribune.

If Peterson can keep healthy he becomes a major threat to all other teams. He has gone to seven pro bowls and received All-American honors four times. Peterson has led the league in rushing three times.

The Vikings could really use Peterson's help. The team is last in rushing yards per game (73.4) and Asiata has 742 rushing yards on 236 carries.

Now you have a big fantasy decision to make. That is if you decided to keep him and not trade him away early in the season.
