NBA is Planning on Broadcasting Games Through Virtual Reality

Virtual reality is the next best thing in the world of technology and now the NBA wants in. The NBA is jumping on the virtual reality bandwagon by showing at least one game per week in virtual reality.

The league has partnered up with NextVR to be the first professional sports league to use virtual reality as a method of broadcasting. In order to access to these games you will need a NBA League Pass and a Samsung VR headset.

The first matchup expected to be a broadcast via virtual reality is on October 27th showcasing the Sacramento Kings and San Antonio Spurs. There will be trial period for users to try the new technology out.

The VR broadcasts come with multiple camera angles, personal commentators, and replays.
