TK's Picks Day 8: Serena Williams, Rafael Nadal will advance to Aussie Open quarters

So after a day of upsets, will there be more today?

It wouldn't surprise me. This has been a super crazy tournament, especially on the men's side. Now is when I think things will really start to get crazy, and we will have even better matches.

Here's my picks for today's matches.

Serena d. Strycova in 2: This match will be close, but I got Serena in two tight sets. She is the only top 2 seed left in either draw, but Serena will not lose in the fourth round.

Goffin d. Thiem in 5: This should be a dandy of a match. It might be a little boring but it will be competitive. Thiem's heavy schedule will catch up with him.

Pliskova d. Dasher in 2: This will also be close, but Pliskova will win late in each set. There should be a great atmosphere for this one.

Rafa d. Monfils in 4: Rafa's got some real momentum going. Don't count him out to win this whole thing.

Konta d. Makarova in 2

Lucic d. Brady in 3: This should be a good one. Brady has a serious shot and I hope she wins, but Lucic has a little more experience.

Grigs d. Istomin in 3: Does Grigs have a chance to get to the final or even win this tourney? You bet he does.

Milos d. RBA in 3: Here's another guy no one is talking about. Let's not forget he's the highest seed remaining.

Record: 5-3, 217-92
