The 42nd season is starting in less than a week so what about some sureball interesting predictions for the Philippine Cup?
BGSM - Japeth will be their leading scorerWith Greg Slaughter missing games, Japeth will take the lead role for this conference. Last season, he has the second highest usage rate in the Philippine Cup. I also think coach Tim is really high on him.
MAH - They will be one of the two fastest teamsCoach Gavina is now force to play as fast as possible or else their opponents will feast on their very weak frontline and rim protection. Alex Mallari and Ryan Arana loves to run so they will surely push this further.
BWE - They will reach the playoffsBlackwater reach the playoffs of last year's Philippine Cup and I think that will happen again. The arrival of Mac Belo should really strengthen their defense and I expect improvements by Art Dela Cruz and JP Erram. And, Rafael Banal will also be there and James Forrester could shock a lot of people.
They made the second most last season but with the arrival of Nino Canaleta and Von Pessulam, I expect them to make more. The management has rounded out the team with a lot of shooters which can give them more quality shots.
