Welcome to our Governors' Cup card day! We will now give our grade to each player of all the teams. We will use the normal grading system of 50-100. 75 is the passing grade of course.
Let us all welcome the participants coming from the first four teams to be eliminated!
My grade greatly depends on the performance of the player and in his success on doing his role in his team.

Even though their season ended this early, the Elite should be happy to see two of their young studs playing well. Art Dela Cruz was savaged this conference. In 25.9 minutes of play he contributed 12.5 points, 57.3% FG, 4.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.9 steals. Convert that to 36 minutes and you will get 17.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.6 steals.
On the other hand, Erram was magnificent in the five games that he played before he got injured. He exhibited a legit midrange jumper and he was one of the best rim protector in the league with his 2 blocks per game.
On the other end, Eric Dawson never meet the hype that he gathered with his monstrous 1st conference in the league with Meralco. Raphy Reyes was also a non-factor in the conference.

Terrence Romeo and Stanley Pringle continued to be the most dynamic and the best scoring backcourt in the league. They combined for 46.3 points, 5.9 three-pointers, 36% 3FG, 10.6 assists and 1.9 steals per game. One more positive thing about Terrence is, he was a better playmaker this conference.
Sunday Salvacion was very bad in his role of a 3-and-D wing. His Defensive Rating was the worst in the team at 116.9. Billy Mamaril was also a negative for the team. He played 16.6 minutes per game and ended with a -22.3 net rating.

JR Quinahan is hands down the best local player of the Elasto Painters this Conference. JR was doing it on both ends of the court and on the offensive end, he was a playmaker, screener, inside and outside scorer and a great passer. Chris Tiu was also fantastic on both ends of the court with a net rating of 22.1. With the play that I saw with Chris Tiu, I think he can be a top guy again.
Josan Nimes was having rookie jitters all throughout this conference where he posted an offensive rating of 68.3. Jewel Ponferada was also a disappointment with his 4.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 3.2 fouls and 1.5 turnovers per game.

James Yap was very bad this conference that it was really mind-boggling to me why he received 20.3 minutes per game. His Player Efficiency Rating was 3.7, 11.3 lower than the base PER for average players of 15. His net rating was -33.2, meaning when he was in the floor, his team was outscored by 33.2 points per 100 possession. Alex Mallari was also a detrimental to the team this conference.
On the other hand, PJ Simon has a renaissance of sort this conference. In 25.5 minutes of play, he averaged 12.5 points and 50% 3FG! He is there to be a scorer and a shooter so that was a fantastic job by PJ. Joel Wright showed that he was the better import this conference than Marqus Blakely with his 28.4 points, 14.6 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.9 steals and 1.4 blocks.
