October 04 News and Rumors Recap: Rain or Shine and etc.

Here is a quick recap of the news around the league.

NEWS
Undecided: Mr. Manny V. Pangilinan express his emotion with Meralco's victory over TNT

After the upset win of Meralco against TNT, a lot of eyes searched for MVP to see how will he react to this surprising result. "...At long last, they’re in the finals. To beat Talk ‘N Text for three straight games, they deserve congratulations. Job well done.”

He was honest enough to say that he was happy and sad at the same time.

You cannot blame MVP because he witnessed his flagship team fall to a weaker team and at the same time, his second child accomplished an upset! I think, he is also worried about the chances of the Bolts against the winner of the other series.

Change of mind: Eric Menk wants one more season
Erik Menk revealed in an interview with FOX Sports that he will not return to Alaska.
“One thing for sure, I won’t be back for Alaska (next season). They told me they are not going to re-sign me so that’s why I don’t know, but it depends if I can get on another team or not." He also expressed his desire to return again for next season “I’m leaving it (options) open. Of course, the PBA is a great job. Everyone wants to play in the PBA and if something good comes my way now, I’ll listen and certainly entertain the offer if at all.”

Major Pain averaged 3.3 points, 3.2 rebounds and 36.9% FG in 13.1 minutes of play this season. I don't think he is worth a penny as player right now. But, he can be a good development coach. With his experience and skills, he can transfer that to young bigs.

Turmoil: Rain or Shine in financial difficulties?
Factuality Meter - 60%

It seems like this rumor is getting stronger as the days go by. According to some chatters, the family of Mr. Terry Que, one of the owner, is not happy with the amount of investment for the team. That is hampering their plan of re-signing every expired contracts that they have.

I really believe in this one. There are a lot of evidence to prove it. One thing is for sure though, Rain or Shine will still exist but prepare yourself because we could be welcoming a very different Rain or Shine team next season.
