The End?: Erik Menk posted a video entitled, My Last PBA Game

Watch his video for the details. In his farewell speech to the Aces players at the end of their campaign this season, he said, “I’m not 100 percent sure what’s gonna happen next but most likely I’ll be pivoting all of the playing part of the game.”

At 42 years old, maybe this is really the right time to hang his sneakers. He has won titles and even claimed an MVP plum. He will always be remembered as one of the best traditional big in the history of the league.

Not a problem: Coach Tim is not worried about LA's scoreless game 1 outing

Coach Tim Cone look at LA's performance as an anomaly. 



“I don’t worry about those things because, first of all, it’s a five-man game, so you’re not going to be carried by the same guy every night. LA had it amazingly going against Alaska and we needed him to do that last time.”

He continued, "he focused more on defense. I used to say the same thing with Johnny that I say with LA: LA can not score a point and still be the most impactful player out there by his ability to defend, his ability to handle the ball, push the ball, find the right guy, and get them into our offense, so he doesn’t necessarily have to score for us to be good. And I think that’s what great point guards do.”

I totally agree with Coach Tim on the 1st part but not that much on the second part, specially the defense thing. In game 1, LA has the second worst +/- of -5. Meaning, his team was outscored by 5 points per 100 possessions. Ginebra needs him soon. He better show up.

Tight: Chris Newsome and Troy Rosario are the top contenders for the ROY plum
The #2 and #4 pick of the recent draft are hairline apart in the ROY race. Troy accumulated 23.5 statistical points while Chris Newsome has 23.4. Newsome is contributing 11.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.2 steals and 47.4% FG. Troy is producing 11.8 points, 46.8% FG, 35.2% 3FG and 5.3 rebounds.

ROY is basically the best rookie of the season. The problem is, Chris Newsome and Troy Rosario are so different from each other that it is up to the preference of the voters. An athletic do-it-all wing or an elite stretch-PF?

Spin.ph has put out an article that tells about a new contract offer to Terrence Romeo, which is only 4 months long. That is after they reported that the management and Terrence has agreed already of a 3 years deal. In that article, it also stated that their contract talks with other players are in limbo.

At 50% FM, I will not be shock if this is true. Just look at their company, Globalport. Be honest, do you even know that company? Also, Mr. Romero is having troubles in different aspects of his business life. So, what happen if the rumors are true? Maybe, Mr. Romero will just sell the franchise.
