The Five Happiest 2016 Draftee

I am pretty sure that every player that was called last Sunday was happy. But, I think these five should be the most happiest and I will tell you why.

ALFONSO GOTLADERA
He is not the most polished player in the draft so the best thing for him is to be drafted by a coach that knows how to develop frontliner. So, how about coach Yeng Guiao? With his youth and better build, coach Yeng could mold him better than the Extra Rice Inc.

ROGER POGOY
Playing for your college coach in the professional league is one of the best thing that you can ask for in your rookie season. Roger will also be playing behind two veteran cogs in Ryan Reyes and Larry Fonacier that will regressed in the near future. That means the door will be pretty open for him to takeover in a season or two. I expect coach Nash to develop him slowly but surely.

RAPHAEL BANAL

In an unpredictable draft, going #1 will surely make Ael very happy. He should also be thankful that he will be going to a team that will give him the starting SG spot right away. We all saw how coach Isaac used Lastimosa so I expect Banal to have a big role immediately. And with a young squad around him, Banal will not be pressured to over do things.

JESSIE SAITANAN
Being drafted in the 2nd round will not matter that much for Jessie because he was picked by a team that needed and love his skill set. If he can really sustain his outside shooting and be a credible shot blocker right away, I can see him eating up the minutes of Faundo and Nabong.

JERICHO DE GUZMAN

Next to coach Yeng Guaio, coach Tim Cone is the most proven developer of bigmen. I don't expect him to play important minutes for the upcoming season but with Coach Del Rosario there, his training will be handled well.
